Name days are a common and warm occasion in Slovakia. A smaller fresh bouquet and a thoughtful line are often enough. Tulips, freesias, lisianthus, gerberas or soft roses work well depending on the relationship.

  • Bring or send the flowers to the office in the morning, not at the end of the day.
  • Say “Happy name day”, not “Happy birthday”. In Slovakia, that small distinction matters.
